The thriving village of Colden Common is situated in Hampshire, UK just 5 miles to the south of Winchester, the historic Saxon capital of England. Home to about 3700 people, Colden Common includes the much smaller settlements of Brambridge, Highbridge, Hensting, Fishers Pond, Lords Wood, and the curiously named Nobs Crook.

This award has been created by Colden Common Parish Council to honour an individual who has made a major contribution to the local village community.

Both the nominee and the voter should be a resident within the Parish of Colden Common.

Nominations should be submitted by email to the Clerk at

 keith.best@coldencommon.hants.gov.uk

with reasons for the nomination and the name and address of the voter.

Closing date for nominations 24 May 2013

The award will be presented at the

Annual Parish Assembly on 29 May 2013

in the Community Centre and the guest speaker is

Jenny Nell, Principal Planner

at Winchester City Council

who will provide an update on the work in progress

on the plans for the village development.
